A downloadable game for Windows

A talented skeleton's performance is rudely interrupted by a ghastly fellow!

Hello everyone! Here's a small game I made for fun with my free time.  I wanted to learn game design so I promised myself I would finish something even if it was tiny. I made a lot mistakes and learned along the way as the game developed. It's my first time finishing a game from start to end so forgive the clunky design of the overall game. There's so much to learn..

Ah, but you don't want to hear any of this! Let's play!

[CONTROLS]
WASD or Arrow keys to move
Spacebar to shoot projectiles
ESC to pause/leave current level

[TIPS]
From my cousin:"You gotta keep moving!"

The game is only for Windows. Sorry!  Mac users, I think you can just download the .exe and run it on Wine. *Crosses fingers*

(There was an official Mac version but it runs delayed.. probably bad programming on my end, I learned about optimizing sadly around the end of development.)

Thanks for trying it out! Hope you like it! It's a pretty short game, probably 10 - 15 minutes to beat? Forgive me with this... bizarre aspect ratio.. this was before I learned anything about game sizes. I have no idea why I made it 1280 x 704 oh jeez I have no idea. Why did I do that.

cooool game

This is a really excellent little game!

I played this with a friend of mine during school when he mispelled a game name, and I had fun!

Thanks so much!!!

This was a fantastic first game! I love the amount of thought put into the levels and mechanics. I'm curious. How much development time did you put into this, and what kind of engine did you use?

Thank you so much for asking! I used Clickteam Fusion 2.5 for this. Although, I wish I used Game Maker in the beginning considering my code in CF was a nightmare to read near the end. The development time on this took WAY too long. It should've only taken 1 month or even only about a couple of weeks to do.. but it went on embarrassingly for 5 months working on and off. Solely because of many mistakes I made throughout development. (I.e. Large sprites that are fully animated, planned out 50 levels, an overworld, multiple bosses, more enemies, ect.) I think if anything the actual gameplay with enemies took around a couple of weeks but it was the art that lengthened the development time because I was so invested in making it look pretty. (I should've focused on just finishing sooner with okay-looking art instead of what I made.) I totally don't regret it though as the knowledge I gained from it made me realize what I need to prioritize for my next game.
